Dance Teacher – Diamondz Dance

Styles: Contemporary, Musical Theatre & Street

Hours: Monday Evenings

Classes: 

-5:30pm – 4-7 years DANCE MIX (A mix of any of the following styles Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Cheer & Street)

- 6:15pm 9–12 years CONTEMPORARY

We are seeking a passionate, reliable and child-centred Dance Teacher to join our team and inspire young people. 

Role Responsibilities

​

Teaching & Class Delivery

​

•Lead high-energy, engaging classes in Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Street styles.

• Deliver age-appropriate technique, warm-ups, creative tasks and routines. 

•Create a safe, supportive and encouraging environment for all dancers. 

•Provide clear instruction, structure and behaviour management.

​

Class Planning & Prep

​

•Prepare weekly class plans that balance technique, creativity and fun.

• Monitor dancer progress and adapt teaching to individual needs. 

•Communicate with the Diamondz Dance team regarding class needs or updates. 

​

Choreography & Events

​

Create choreography & organise costumes for: 

- Annual Dance Show (February) 

- In-House Competition (July) 

- Additional community or performance events as required. 

• Work collaboratively to ensure routines are polished, age-appropriate and in line with event themes. 

Professional Expectations

​

• Represent Diamondz Dance in a positive, friendly and professional manner.

• Understanding and working to our company vision, mission and manifesto.

• Arrive prepared and on time for all sessions. 

• Maintain safeguarding standards and follow all child protection procedures. 

• Communicate effectively with parents, staff and performers.

• Attend occasional team meetings, rehearsals or training sessions.

Person Specification

​

Essential:

• Experience teaching one or more of the following: Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Street.

• Confident working with children ages 4–12. 

•Strong choreography skills. 

•Friendly, professional and enthusiastic teaching manner. 

•Reliability and excellent communication skills. 

​

Desirable: (Training can be provided for the right candidate)

​

• Dance teaching qualification. 

• First aid training. 

• Safeguarding training.

• Experience in event or show production.

• This role can be employed or self - employed 

• Pay dependent on experience 

• Free DBS check 

• Two references required 

• Preferred timeline: Interviews at the end of February, Paid induction/training at the end of March, Job role starts 27th April 2026.
