About the event
Inclusive Disco | Young People & Families (11–17yrs) 🎃
A fun, safe and welcoming inclusive disco for young people aged 11–17 with additional needs and their families.
Come along for an afternoon of music, dancing, sensory activities and socialising — a great opportunity for young people to have fun, spend time with their families and meet other families in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
🎯 This is a PILOT event!
This is our first Inclusive Disco specifically for young people aged 11–17 and their families, so we are starting with a pilot to see how the event works and, most importantly, what young people and families think!
We want to understand what you enjoy, what you would like to see at future events and how we can make these discos as welcoming, accessible and enjoyable as possible.
Your feedback will help shape what happens next.
If the pilot is successful and we receive plenty of positive feedback and interest in continuing, our aim is to offer these discos on a regular basis just as we do for the Inclusive Discos for Adults (18+) which have been running 4years.
Future discos would each have their own fun and exciting theme, giving young people and families something different to look forward to each time.
🎃 OCTOBER THEME – HALLOWEEN SPECTACULAR! 👻

Dressing up is very welcome but absolutely not essential.
🎉 What to expect:
Disco set-up with feel-good music
Halloween-themed fun and activities
Sensory dance props
Photo booth area for fun memories
Snacks & soft drinks available to purchase
No pressure to dance — you can dance, move, sit, socialise or simply enjoy the atmosphere
A welcoming environment for different abilities, needs and confidence levels
Opportunities to meet and connect with other young people and families
👨👩👧👦 Young people & families — please note
This is a family event, not a drop-off disco.
A parent, carer or support worker must attend and remain responsible for supervising the young person throughout the event.
Parents, carers and support workers are encouraged to join in, dance, socialise and enjoy the event too!
Our hope is that these discos can become a regular opportunity for young people to socialise, families to spend time together and parents/carers to connect with other families.
